Confused with the meaning of multi-profile? Simply this, if you have not been modified Firefox there is only one profile is provided by that software. Profiles are used to save the settings and extensions used by user. When you run Firefox, those settings will contribute executed. If you install a various extensions, loading process would be long enough because all extensions will run. With the multi-profile you can run your Firefox with settings different.

Benefits that will you get:
- You can create different profiles according to your needs. If you often open a social networking websites, you can create a profile that contains extensions of social networking like Facebook Toolbar or Yoono. So the extension is run only associated with social networking extensions. Likewise, if you plug in an extension of reference for your Study profile, only the settings associated with it which will be opened (after you make some settings on the extension parameters).
- You can run different firefox profiles simultaneously. Yes, the same software but different environment. Become more focused for those of you who are looking for references for your study (in your Study profile).
- Your profile can be stored in another folder, not necessarily in the system folder. By default, Firefox stores your profile in the system folder. If the computer is in trouble and your software must be reinstalled, will be very unpleasant to re-settings your Firefox again. By making modifications to your profile, the problem is solved easily.
- Create your browsing time to be more effective. Obviously, your Firefox running quickly and make you become more focused on your work. I experienced it myself.
A multi-profile in Firefox is very helpful. I can easily optimize firefox for specific things that I want. Would you also like the way I feel? If so, you can practice a simple tutorial to create and optimize your profile in Firefox.
1. Right-click the Firefox shortcut, select Properties.
2. On Target in the Properties window, add “-Profilemanager -no-remote” behind the shortcut address (without the quotes). Then click OK.
3. Open the Shortcut. Will appear “Firefox- Choose User Profile” window. Usually there is only only 1 profile, the default.
4. Make duplicate of your Firefox Shortcut and change its name in accordance with the profile you want, example Referencing.
5. Right click and select Properties on the duplicate shortcut.
6. At Target, replace “-Profilemanager -no-remote” into “-P YourProfileName -no-remote”. Must be the same as the profile name you created earlier. For example “-P Referencing -no-remote”. Then press OK.
7. Open that Shortcuts.
You will feel the difference if you install more than 2 profiles.
You can do different settings in each profile, same as for the extensions.
Interesting is not it? You can begin to try it now.
